Charleston Academy of Music invites you to a Giving Tuesday fund-raiser piano recital featuring pianist Chee-Hang See.
#GivingTuesday (November 29) is a global generosity movement and a national day of philanthropy. On this day, Charleston Academy of Music seeks to raise money for its Scholarship Fund to continue its mission to empower students to become achievers by providing superior professional music instruction and performance opportunities.
Chee-Hang See is an award-winning Singaporean pianist, composer, and conductor who has been on the faculty of the academy since 2008. Chee-Hang has been called “a cool and confident performer” and has performed to rave reviews in concert series and with orchestras in four continents. His students have been prize winners in local and national auditions and competitions.
The holiday-themed program includes music by Spanish composers Manuel de Falla, Isaac Albéniz, and Mikail Pletnev’s impressive transcription of Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker. Special thanks to Aaron and Thu Lesher, longtime academy family, for hosting the event.
Doors will open at 6:30pm for festive mingle and wine. Concert begins at 7pm.
